As the Head of Audit and Assurance, Rick leads an energetic and passionate team of more than 300, including 20 partners and directors. He advises his clients in determining the path to improved profitability and business value by listening and understanding them. In charge of Initial Public Offering (IPO) and capital market services, Rick works alongside his clients to chart their growth stories, whether they aspire to be a publicly listed company or work on their succession plans.

As the Head of Audit and Assurance of Mazars in APAC, Rick leads and shapes the development and growth of the audit and assurance service line together with 14 country audit leaders of Mazars in APAC.

Rick has more than 25 years of experience in international public accounting firms, including the Big 4 in Singapore and Malaysia for both SMEs, MNCs, Not-for-Profit organizations and publicly listed companies. His portfolio spans across a broad range of industries from trading, retail, services, manufacturing, property development, construction and infrastructure, healthcare, hotels and hospitality, education, shipping, shipbuilding, marine supplies, mining, and fund management to insurance companies.

Enthusiastic about growing businesses holistically, Rick also assists companies going for IPO on the Singapore Exchange (SGX-ST) and the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong (HKSE). He is the Engagement Partner for several companies listed on SGX-ST and HKSE. He covers financial due diligence for merger and acquisition transactions as well.

Rick is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Global Audit Forum. He is also member of Mazars Global Audit Board and heads the audit and assurance service line of APAC.

In May 2018, he was elected as a member of the Singapore Network Panel of the ACCA for a second term. He is the Chairman of the ACCA Practitioners Forum Sub-Committee, which was formed to meet the needs of ACCA practitioner-members in Singapore.

Rick is a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants (FCCA) and a practising member of ISCA. He was also elected as the Chairman of Audit and Assurance for the regional committee of Praxity Alliance, an independent international alliance of firms with more than 700 offices, over 100 countries, and more than 60,000 professionals worldwide.
